Thank you to my wonderful clients for their kind words!
I saw a quote from designer Lynne Sosnowski recently that said “A good TE…gives you the feedback you need in a way that you’re able to hear constructively.” Colleen is excellent at that – her feedback is worded and explained in a way that makes it clear why she’s suggesting you change “x” without making you bristly about it. That’s something I was particularly concerned with when choosing a tech editor and, as it turns out, I lucked out on the first try!

Colleen exceeded my expectations in every way. She promised she would have my pattern to me by a set date and then was able to complete it a day early to give me more time to make my final edits. Her edits and comments were very clearly explained and she added many helpful suggestions that improved the quality of my pattern. I felt that Colleen didn’t just edit my pattern and send it back but became invested in its success. She made sure I was prepared for the release date and then followed up to see how it was going after the release. I will definitely use Colleen’s services again in the future.

Colleen was so easy and very professional to work with! She reviewed my pattern for a crochet crop top and her turn around was very quick. She was very detailed finding misspellings, punctuation etc. What I was very happy about was she made suggestions to make instructions more clear in the pattern. She gave my pattern that polished finish I was looking for. I would recommend anyone to use her services and I will definitely be using her for future patterns.

Colleen was polite, friendly and professional from start to finish. I was given a date to expect my report, and it was delivered promptly on time. The report was detailed, comprehensive and easy to understand, covering typos and inconsistences, and it included some helpful style tips too.
This was my first time using the services of a tech editor, and Colleen made the whole experience stress free and painless. I will definitely be going to Colleen with my future pattern releases, and would happily recommend her to any designer.

I really appreciated Colleen’s work on my “A little bit more” sock pattern. It is always very helpful to have a second set of eyes look over a pattern and pick up on the little errors that you can never spot in your own work. Having a “reader’s view” is also invaluable, you always know what you are trying to say, but does the text actually describe it?! Work return time was good and the layout of comments and inclusion of a summary letter made the process very clear.

Your work really was brilliant, and so incredibly helpful. Your notes are very tidy and easy to follow, and your approach is both professional and friendly. I felt very comfortable with all your notes! I’d be more than happy to use your services again, and most definitely will do!
